About the Role

As the Director of Operations, you will oversee all aspects of production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization within our personal care contract manufacturing facility. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in operations management, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will drive process optimization, team development, and operational excellence to support business growth and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities


  • Provide leadership and direction for production, compounding, maintenance, and sanitization departments to achieve operational goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring production schedules are met and products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and sanitization of equipment and facilities to support operational and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, R&D, and Supply Chain, to support new product development and process enhancements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and financial accountability.
  • Lead the training and development of operational teams to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, staying informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of operations management experience in personal care or a related manufacturing industry, with a strong background in contract manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in operations management software and tools.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in operations management (e.g., APICS, PMP).
